What we fix

A warm refrigerator is the most urgent call we get, and it is the one we are best set up for. Our technicians carry gauges, recovery equipment and brazing tools, so a refrigerant leak or a failed compressor is a repair, not an automatic replacement. That matters most on built-in units from Sub-Zero, Thermador, Viking and Monogram, where a new refrigerator plus panels and installation can run well past $10,000.

We also handle the everyday faults on freestanding refrigerators from LG, Samsung, GE, Whirlpool, KitchenAid and Bosch: fans, defrost systems, ice makers, water valves, door seals and control boards.

Questions people ask

Is it worth repairing my refrigerator?

For built-in brands like Sub-Zero, Thermador and Viking, repair almost always costs far less than replacement, even for compressor or sealed-system work. For a standard freestanding refrigerator older than 12 to 15 years, we will tell you plainly if the repair is close to the price of a new one.

How long will my food stay safe?

Keep the doors closed. Food in a closed refrigerator stays safe for about 4 hours after power or cooling is lost. A full freezer holds about 48 hours, a half-full one about 24 (USDA guidance).

Can you fix a refrigerator the same day?

Often, yes. Many fan, relay, defrost and valve repairs are finished on the first visit. Sealed-system work and brand-specific parts can take a second visit.

How much does a service call cost?

The service call is $79. It covers the trip and a full diagnosis. If you go ahead with the repair, the $79 is waived.

Will I know the price before you start?

Yes. After the diagnosis your technician gives you the repair price. Nothing is done until you approve it.
